Student of the Month February 2020
To Whom It May Concern,
It is with great pleasure that I get to nominate Sayla Maycock for student of the month here at Pinedale Middle School in connection to the month of February’s theme of “Goalsetter.” In my mind there is no better model student when it comes to setting goals than Sayla. I have had the privilege of watching Sayla learn this year, and the one thing I truly admire about Sayla is how well she sets goals. Sayla always sets the bar very high for herself. She never settles for anything less than her expectations. This is not always easy to do, but she makes it look easy.
As a first hand example to Sayla’s goal setting ability, Sayla recently set a goal for getting out of her intervention class. In addition to this goal, she also set smaller goals along the way to help her achieve her main goal. Recently, Sayla completed the requirements to exit interventions. She accomplished all of these goals and already made a new goal to stay out of interventions. It is very cool to see Sayla achieve her goals because she is always thinking about the next one. In my opinion, Sayla is a phenomenal example of a Goalsetter.
To conclude this letter of praise for Sayla, I would like to say thank you for being such a tremendous role model to our school. Although she may not realize it right now, Sayla is making a tremendous impact on our student body. I would also like to thank Sayla’s parents for raising such a fantastic young lady!
